Concession for school student on E ticket

Hi Friends, I want to book e tickets to Nagpur. I have 4 children studying in School. I have their vacation concession form from the school.

The problem is when booking the E ticket from irctc, I don't get any option to fill in the concession form number. I want to know how can I get concession on the e tickets booked for my school children. Or do I need to book the tickets from ticket counter to get student concession?

To avail the concession of being a student, on has to produce the Student concession form along with the purchased ticket (only i-ticket) to get discounted ticket.

The concession form of India Railways will be available at all Institutions where you’re studying (or in most cases it is a simple letter written on a paper to the Railway regional head with ‘Student concession application’ as the subject and the purpose as the body) which needs to be filled completely and signed by the head of your Institution must be presented at any nearest Railway reservation counter along with the i-ticket and normal Journey cum reservation ticket.

You cannot get concession on E ticket.

From 15th June Student ID Cards are accepted for verification purpose of e-tickets only, But you will not be provided with any concession on your ticket if its e-ticket and you are a student....

just wanted to inform u that from 15th june student concession is available on e-tickets also. but the procedure is not very clear.i shall respond again as soon as i get to know.
