Content editor web part gives check out error

I have Content editor web part on my site, and when I am trying to edit it I get an an error message "This item must be checked out before its properties can be edited".

I am using farm admin account to modify the CEWP. I dont see from where it can be checked out? There are otrher web parts on the page and I have no porblem in editing them.

This error occurs if the page is checked out to someone. So to find out who has checked this page you need to click on “Site Actions –> Show Editing Toolbar“. The green bar that appears will clearly note exactly who has it checked out.

Iif you have administrative rights, override the checkout and work from there.
