I have taken a housing loan from LIC housing finance in April 2008 which is jointly in the name of my elder brother and me. I was told by LICHF representatives that me and my brother will get 50% tax rebate each on this.

But currently my brother doesnt want to claim his housing loan repayment amount. I have obtained the statement from LIC which has the decuction info but its in the name of both of us. .Is it possible for me to get the entire tax rebate?
