Android-based Samsung Galaxy S To Be Released Across Countries
The Android based Samsung Galaxy S would be released simultaneously in 110 countries, according to sources.
The launch of the phone comes amidst the launch of other high-end technology mobile phones like HTC Aria and 4G iPhone. The handset is being launched by Vodafone, sources said.
The device comes with AMOLED touch screen that offer high resolution. The phone is equipped with features like tri-band global 3G, music player- MP3, WMA, WAV, the 5 mega pixel LED flash camera with auto focus and smile detection and ThinkFree application.
Among the other features phone also has Micro USB, Email, Wi-Fi, Video playback, 16384 MB internal memory, GSM Quad-band handset, and 3.5 mm headphones connector. It has Swype text input for quick messaging.
The handset is reported to be initially launched in Asia. Reports say that Samsung Galaxy S might not have the latest Android version ‘Froyo’ but it is expected to be equipped with Android 2.1.
