I was getting bored on Sunday so decided to watch the movie Mehbooba. What a crap title!
I went with my friends and believe we were just 20 people in whole theatre. The whole cinema hall was empty.
The movie starts with Ajay Devgan getting dreams of a girl, the role played by Manisha Koirala since last 8 years but whom he has never met. He has painted his home wall with her in Budapest.
One fine day the the girl ( Manisha Koirala) meets him in Budapest. She comes to stay with her uncle after her father deaths in New York. Her uncle Kader Khan is lawyer of Ajay Devgan.
Now, our hero wants to marry Manisha Koirala but there is a hitch in it. Manisha Koirala was engage to a New York Casanova Sanjay Dutt. In fact Sanjay Dutt sleeps her for one night and then abandons her. She is madly in love with Sanjay Dutt it seems and she curse Sanjay Dutt that he will never be happy in life. But eventually after lot of songs and persuasion she agrees to marry Ajay Devgan after telling her past to him.
The engagement is suppose to take place in the home town of Ajay Devgan in Rajasthan. It’s here the story takes new twist. Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgan are brothers.
Next one hour is how the two actors try to sacrifice their love for each other.The movie is directed by Afzal Khan. There is nothing to talk about acting. Songs are bad and there is just no screenplay.
Just read my review and avoid the movie even if it comes on cable channel. You will be wasting your time.
