Race directed by Abbas-Mustan released this Friday with lot of fanfare. The movie starts with Saif getting killed almost or should I say murdered in an accident.
Race is suppose to be a suspense thriller. The director duo has given some great suspense movie like Ajnaabi, Khiladi and others. Well just before the interval Saif Ali Khan is killed by Akshaye Khanna and sexy looking Bipasha Basu.
And why? Just to claim 100 million Policy that Saif's dad had taken on Saif's name. Akshaye Khanna gives other reasons also but thats nothing to do with the plot as far as the movie is concern.
The movie takes twist every 20 minutes interval as slowly you come to grip of the actual suspense that is unfolded on yourt screen one after other. I would not reveal the story further to spoil your plan to watch the Race. Go and watch it yourself and decide if this is what you expect from Abbas-Mustan?
Overall acting perfomance were good by all the actors. Saif has once again shown that he has matured a lot as actor and can deliver the perfomance worth of staying in theatre for 3 hours. Bips looks stunning in every frame of the movie and same can be said of Katrina Kaif. Akshaye Khanna might have now done more then 5 such roles and knows how to deliver such role with an ease.
The songs were good though not great. Only Allah Duhai hai may reach in top 5 of chart numbers.
All in all Race could have been much better if focus was maintain on the four main lead of the movie.
